Abstract
A procedure is described for determining the solubility of hop α- and β-acids in liquid carbon dioxide. Results have shown that the optimum temperature range for the extraction of hops with liquid carbon dioxide is +5 to +10°C. A number of pesticides used by hop growers are appreciably soluble in liquid carbon dioxide. Keywords
