Nonlinear Dielectric Constant of a Paraelectric Material

Abstract
An expression is obtained for the nonlinear dielectric constant of a paraelectric material. This is given in terms of the coupling parameters of the Born-von Kármán lattice dynamical theory. Deviations from the Devonshire phenomenological theory are discussed.Keywords
