Abstract
Agglutinins and precipitins. Cultures of S. aureus isolated from infections in man were used for the inoculations. It is well known that rabbits are very susceptible to this organism, and previous inoculation with vaccines, attenuated cultures, or with carefully graduated doses of the live coccus does not confer adequate protective immunity, although the animal's serum contains immune bodies, such as agglutinins and precipitins, to a high titre. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
