Abstract
A new host, the American shad, is reported for A. canadensis. After the first parasites appeared a majority of the shad passed over the Holyoke dam in the Connecticut River were infected with this branchiuran during the spring of 1955. The parasites were not present on either the early upstream or downstream migrants. Infections were concentrated on the heads and around lesions on the bodies of the fish. Other fishes taken with shad were not infected. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
