Cutaneous candidiasis

Abstract
Preview Although cutaneous candidiasis is more common in immuno-suppressed patients, it may affect anyone, even babies. The diagnosis can be verified by relatively simple laboratory tests, and effective antifungal therapy is available. Dr Pariser reviews the diagnosis and treatment of uncomplicated cutaneous candidiasis and includes tips on how to distinguish it from dermatophyte infections.
