Abstract
A case of pigeon brain lesions associated with migrating parasitic larvae is described. Necropsy revealed a few intestinal parasites (Capillaria sp. and Davainea sp.). A Corynebacterium was isolated from the brain and liver. Histologically, a few perivascular cuffs composed of large and small mononuclear cells and eosinophilic granulocytes were observed in several areas of the brain. Several foci of intense inflammation with numerous eosinophilic granulocytes were present in the brain stem. Associated with these foci were parasites tentatively identified as Ascaroidea larvae. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
