Abstract
The volume of pancreatic juice secreted and its enzyme content is increased by vagal stimulation in anesthetized pigs. Vagal stimulation greatly enhances the effect of secretin. Response to secretin during vagal stimulation is much more than the additive effect of secretin and vagal stimulation when each is employed alone. This indicates that vagal stimulation increases the sensitivity of the gland to secretin. Keywords
