Abstract
The factors which influenced hospital (or 30 day) mortality in 68 patients with ruptured aortic aneurysms were analyzed. The most important factor determining the outcome is the depth of shock before the operation or related to this, the volume of blood transfused during or after operation or the duration of ventilatory support.
