A Chemical Method for the Detection of Virus Infection of the Chick Embryo

Abstract
A method is described for the detection of virus infection of the allantoic sac of the chick embryo. The method is dependent upon the increased concn. of protein in infected allantoic fluid. Protein concn. is measured by determining the degree of turbidity produced upon the addition of 10% trichloracetic acid to allantoic fluid.
