The frequency of reports of a history of incest among 18 female psychiatric outpatients 1st evaluated or treated in a 1 yr period was determined. Six of these patients (33%) reported a history of incest. If this figure reflects actual prevalence, previous estimates of a history of incest among female psychiatric patients may mistakenly low. The implications and limitations of the statistics were discussed. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
