Abstract
An analytical technique for the measurement of 1,2‐dibromoethane (EDB), 1,2‐dichloroethane (EDC) and specific hydrocarbons is described. Both ambient and exhaust concentrations of these materials have been measured and relationships between concentrations are presented as a means of providing information about the source of non‐methane hydrocarbons in the atmosphere. Data obtained both at several street locations and utilizing vehicles operating under different conditions have been statistically analyzed to show correlations between hydrocarbon and halocarbon levels. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
