Abstract
This study reports epidemiological data on handedness, reading level, cognitive function, birth history, and parental achievement in two unselected populations of white boys who were followed from Kindergarten to the end of Grade 2. The results showed no relationship between left-handedness and any of the dependent variables understudy. Factors are discussed to account for why this putative relationship has continued to enjoy widespread though uncritical acceptance in the literature. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
