Abstract
The glycerides of four Strophanthus oils containing 9‐hydroxyoctadec‐12‐enoic acid (6‐15%) have been examined by thin‐layer chromatography on silica and on silica—silver nitrate and by lipolysis. The oils show no unusual features in their glyceride composition; the hydroxy acid behaves like linoleic acid in its distribution pattern. Keywords
