A fine structural study of microwave fixation of tissues

Abstract
Microwave fixed liver and kidney tissues were examined by electron microscopy. It was found that the preservation of fine structure of these tissues by this method is equal to that processed by routine methods. No difficulty was encountered in sectioning microwave fixed tissue blocks. It is obvious that microwave fixation is a faster and more efficient method.Keywords
