Observation of the $D_{s J} (2317)$ and $D_{s J} (2457)$ in $B$ Decays

Abstract

We report the first observation of the

B \to \bar{D} D_{s J} (2317)

and

B \to \bar{D} D_{s J} (2457)

decays based on

123.8 \times 10^{6}

B \bar{B}

events collected with the Belle detector at KEKB. We observe the

D_{s J} (2317)

decay to

D_{s} π^{0}

and the

D_{s J} (2457)

decay to the

D_{s}^{*} π^{0}

and

D_{s} γ

final states. We also set 90% C.L. upper limits for the decays

D_{s J} (2317) \to D_{s}^{*} γ

,

D_{s J} (2457) \to D_{s}^{*} γ

,

D_{s J} (2457) \to D_{s} π^{0}

, and

D_{s J} (2457) \to D_{s} π^{+} π^{-}

.
