Abstract
A cellulolytic bacterium was isolated from solid waste refuse undergoing composting. From its biochemical and morphological characteristics, the organism was tentatively identified as Cellulomonas flavigena. The conditions necessary for the maximum production of cellulolytic enzyme, susceptibility of various substrates to the enzyme action and the end product of cellulose hydrolysis are reported. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
