A Comparison of Some Properties of Polyoma Virus and Pneumonia Virus of Mice.

Abstract
Comparison of ether sensitivities of pneumonia virus of mice (PVM) with that of polyoma virus (PV) was made. PVM was highly sensitive to ether whereas PV is not. PVM did not cause cytopathic effects in several cell types in which PV causes such effects. These included mouse embryo cell cultures, mouse kidney cultures, and L-cells. Pathology of PVM and PV in mouse lung was compared.
