Elastic Scattering of ${}^{16}O$ on ${}^{18}O$ Including Backward Angles

Abstract

The elastic scattering of

{}^{16}O

{}^{18}O

has been measured for incident beam energies of

E_{lab} = 24, 28, and 32

MeV at center-of-mass angles up to 150°. The angular distributions exhibit pronounced oscillations at backward angles which may be interpreted as due to the occurrence of an elastic transfer.
