Abstract
5022 Negro patients were studied at the Cook County Hospital, Chicago, during a search for intermediate forms between sickle cell anemia and sickle cell trait. None was found. 444 (8.84%) of the patients showed the sickle cell trait. 17 patients (0.3% of the cases, 3.8% of those with sickle cell trait) had sickle cell anemia.Keywords
