Abstract
Monoselenoacetals can be synthesized from the reaction of acetals with diisobutylaluminium benzeneselenolate (i-Bu2AlSePh) under mild conditions in good yields. Diselenoacetals are also obtained by treating acetals with large excess amount of i-Bu2AlSePh.Keywords
