Abstract
This chapter presents an analysis on the development of the civil nuclear power programme in Britain. It explores the utility of the categories and concepts developed within the GIR initiative as a framework within which to understand development and change within the nuclear network. First, it considers the alternative maps or images of the nuclear sector. It then examines notions of ‘network’ and ‘resources’ and issues dealing with resources and resource dependencies in the nuclear network.
