Abstract
The open‐circuit voltage of the fluorographite, , electrode can be interpreted as a mixed potential resulting from the anodic reaction of the solvent in question coupled with the cathodic reaction of fluorographite, . The Tafel slope was found to be relatively constant as a function of solution composition and discharge state of the . An exchange current of was estimated based on a thermodynamically predicted open‐circuit voltage of the electrode. An average charge transfer coefficient of 0.4 was calculated for the reaction.
