Correlation of Bioclimatic Ultraviolet and Total Solar Radiation in Washington, D. C., 1941–1948

Abstract
The present status and prospective future trend in securing bioclimatic ultraviolet solar radiation data are discussed. Procedures now in use do not require modification. The filter and photocell method cannot be used to accurately determine the amount of ozone in the stratosphere. Factors are given for estimating the UVQ from the total solar radiation.
