Abstract
An infra‐red absorption cell for gases which may be run at any temperature from −100°C to +200°C is described. Made of monel metal, the cell is sealed with rocksalt windows fastened to thin lead end plates with Glyptal. The cell is heated by means of a coil wrapped around it and cooled by air from a reciprocating pump immersed in a low temperature bath or liquid air. Keywords
