Abstract
The time resolved 416 and 395 nm Raman spectra of the title compounds are observed following 266 nm photolysis of phenol. The observed spectra are simple, and can be tentatively assigned by comparison with similar compounds and radicals. The observed frequencies shift with solvent polarity. The spectra are discussed in light of the expected partial quinoid character of the radical. Keywords
