Abstract
Traumatic brain injury is followed by many changes in cognition, emotion, social interaction and functioning, and communication. These changes may range from severe to subtle. They create complex difficulties for the individual and his or her network of support. Presented here is a review of the literature on the changes and their impact. The review comprises Part I, on brain injury and its effects, and Part II, on social interaction research. Keywords
