Abstract
Following intramuscular administration of 1 [mu]g of Co60 vitamin B12 to normal persons and patients with various medical disorders, radioactivity disappeared from site of injection in 3-4 hours. Maximal radioactivity was detected over the liver, spleen and left kidney regardless of clinical conditions or age of subject. The wide variations preclude any typical pattern for normal or diseased states. Previous animal studies with Co60 vitamin B12 and present investigations with Co60 Cl2 suggest that the measured radioactivity represents vitamin B12 complex in organs named. Keywords
