Abstract
This is the first of a short series of articles in which it is proposed to review various types of appliance treatment available to the orthodontist. In the present article the simpler forms of treatment are considered; treatment without orthodontic appliances or with removable appliances only. In future article consideration will be given to the combined use of removable and fixed appliances, and finally of the more advanced, wholly fixed techniques. Keywords
