Abstract
A total of 150 normal, adult males classified into five age groups was tested for the auditory flutter frequency threshold by a method of limits. The five variables employed in the study were: age, ear, psychophysical method, sound pressure level, and sound-time ratio. The following conclusions were derived: (a) the auditory flutter frequency threshold varies with psychophysical method and sound-time ratio; and (b) the auditory flutter frequency threshold does not vary with age, ear, and sound intensity. Keywords
