Abstract
Deliberate hypotension has value in circumstances where hemorrhage has occurred or is pending. Deliberate hypotension appeared to reduce bleeding and facilitate suturing of the aorta. Hypo-tensive drugs in the critical period immediately following cardio-pulmonary bypass in aortic operations, the control of leaks and the prevention of aortic distention can be obtained by the judicious use of ganglionic blocking agents. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
