Abstract
High-T c superconductors were prepared from rapidly quenched Bi1.6Pb0.4M0.1Ca2Sr2Cu3O x (M=Sb or Sn) glasses. It was found that the addition of Sb or Sn gave the different effects on the precipitation of the 110 K phase from the glasses. The Sb added samples, the crystallized phases of which were mainly composed of the 110 K phase, showed the T c value of 103 K and the J c value of 300 A/cm2 (at 77 K). On the other hand, Sn added samples exhibited both higher T c (110 K) and J c (3000 A/cm2 at 77 K) in spite of the smaller volume fraction of the 110 K phase. Keywords
