Pycnodysostosis im Röntgenbild*

Abstract
Den bisher beschriebenen 37 Fällen von Pycnodysostosis fügen wir 3 eigene Beobachtungen an marokkanischen Patienten (2 Kinder und ein Erwachsener) hinzu. Das Gesamtbild typischer radiologischer Knochenveränderungen der Pycnodysostosis, die in die Gruppe der Konstitutionsosteosklerosen einzuordnen ist, wird angeführt. Die 4 prinzipiellen Veränderungen bestehen aus 1. der generalisierten Osteopetrose, 2. der Hypo- bis Aplasie der Endphalangen der Zehen und Finger, 3. der Hypoplasie des Unterkiefers mit Vergrößerung oder Verlust des Mandibularwinkels und 4. weit offenen Nähten und Fontanellen bei vergrößertem Hirnschädel. Die Aufnahmen demonstrieren auch weniger häufige Skelettanomalien der Pycnodysostosis. Three new cases of pycnodysostosis in Moroccan patients (two children and one adult) are added to the 37 patients reported in the literature. The appearances of the typical radiological bone changes of pycnodysostosis, which is grouped amongst the developmental forms of osteosclerosis, are described. The four most important changes are: 1) generalised osteopetrosis 2) hypo- or aplasia of the terminal phalanges of the toes and fingers 3) hypoplasia of the mandible with increase, or loss, of the mandibular angle. 4) Widely open sutures and fontanelies with increased skull size. Some less common skeletal anomalies in pycnodysostosis are illustrated.
