Abstract
Novel indole alkaloidal artefacts possessing a cage skeletal system and incorporating an α-amino ketone moiety were obtained during isolation of alkaloids from a Malaysian Kopsia species. The structures of these alkaloids were elucidated by spectral methods and a possible pathway for the genesis of these artefacts is proposed. Keywords
