The effect of zeolite composition and structure on the acidity of proton-exchanged zeolites

Abstract
Temperature-programmed desorption of ammonia has revealed that the acid strength of zeolites is not dependent on the zeolite structures but on the Al contents with a volcano-shaped correlation, and that the desorption peaks of ammonia observed at ca. 423–523 K are not related to the acidic sites which are the active centres in acid-catalysed reactions.
