Abstract
DISPLACEMENT CASCADES IN POLYATOMIC SOLIDS An analytic calculation is presented which concerns the number of displaced j atoms n kJ(E) by a primary k with an energy E in a polyatomic target. It can be applied in most irradiation cases: neutrons, electrons and ion implantation. Its main limitation rests in its neglect of electron stopping power. Keywords
