Abstract
Differences in the bioavailability of 2 pure carbamazepine [central depressant] samples with different particle sizes were found. Carbamazepine was given to each of 3 healthy male volunteers in a single oral dose of 400 mg. The other carbamazepine sample was administered after a 3 week time interval. Plasma was collected during the following 96 h. Quantitative determination of carbamazepine was performed by GLC. The areas under the various curves for each volunteer were compared. The relative bioavailability of 1 of the carbamazepines in relation to the other was approximately 70%. There were no differences in the half-life time. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
