Abstract
Three patients with l-leucine sensitive hypoglycemia were described, each showing neurological complications and evidence of permanent cerebral damage. One child died and examination of his brain showed extensive neuronal lesions largely of anoxic type and replacement gliosis. Methods of treatment of hypoglycemia are discussed; a very rigorous dietary regimen consisting of 3 hourly feedings is suggested in long term management of a particularly severe idiopathic hypoglycemia of childhood. This publication has 18 references indexed in Scilit:
