Abstract
Iterative tomographic reconstruction methods have been developed which can enforce various constraints on the reconstructed image An important step in these methods is the reprojection of the reconstructed image. A common disadvantage of these methods is they fail to converge due to the accumulation of the reprojection errors. In this paper the errors generated by such reprojection schemes are investigated and bounds for these errors are derived. The approach in deriving the error bounds is probabilistic and the resulting bounds are much smaller than the previously derived maximum bounds. Keywords
