Abstract
The left auricle was pierced through the upper end of one of the main bronchi, using a specially adapted needle on the end of a Jackson''s suction tube, and pressure measurements and wave forms were thus recorded in patients with normal hearts, suffering.from lung disease, and in patients with mitral stenosis and mitral regurgitation. This preliminary communication describes the method and shows some typical results. Keywords
