Abstract
Hepatitis B antigen (HB Ag) detectable only by means of rvdioimmnnoassay was found in saliva of 5 out of 36 mentally retarded children in an institution. Electron microscopic study of purified antigen in saliva revealed the presence of tubular and small Dane particles.Keywords
