Abstract
A significant correlation is demonstrated in children of ages 10·6 to 11·7 years between the tilt of unerupted lower third molars and deficiency of space in the dental arch. It is also shown that the mesiodistal axis of the lower third molar crypt at an early stage of growth lies closely parallel to the bone surface in which the crypt develops. Some clinical implications are discussed. Keywords
