Industrial Occupational Exposure in the Taiwan Province of the Republic of China

Abstract
Occupational radiation exposure for industry in Taiwan over the past 2 decades was summarized. A survey was made of radiation sources, radiation workers by age and sex, the category of industry, the accumulated dose equivalent range and the average dose equivalent. A radiation safety training program was developed to educate radiation workers in the effects of radiation and to prepare them to take a licensing examination. The licensing examination and the status of licensees were also discussed.
