Abstract
A computer-oriented field data sheet for the recording and processing of geological field observations has been developed and tested. Records on the data sheet are transcribed onto punch cards for ultimate storage, retrieval and automatic processing in a geological data bank. The field data sheet and attached charts are primarily designed for mapping in igneous and metamorphic terrains. Keywords
