Abstract
Two turbine-generator models and two system models are presented for the study of subsynchronous resonance. The turbine-generator models have a common torsional mode. The analytic results of three cases are presented where the analysis has been performed by various computer programs. Both self-excitation and torque amplification study results are provided. The machine and system data are presented in such detail that others can apply their analytic techniques and compare results. Keywords
