Variation in dioecism in cultivated Dodonaea viscosa

Abstract
Dodonaea viscosa Jacquin growing in and near Christchurch, New Zealand, varies considerably in colour of leaves, colour, number and shape of flower parts, and sex of flowers. Purple-leaved plants are proportionately far more polygamous than green, but both show all combinations of floral sex-forms except that of male and female.
