Abstract
Acoustic waveforms from long- and short-spaced sonic logs were investigated to determine if shortspaced tools give accurate measurements of shear wave velocity. Compressional wave interference can affect shear velocities from both tools adversely. However, the short-spaced tool was useful over a wider range of conditions. Keywords
