Abstract
Phenols (phenol, hydroquinone, resorcinol, and o-cresol) reacted with prenyl halides (3-methyl-2-buteny chloride and geranyl chloride) in the presence of an alkali metal (Na) in ether. In these reactions, phenols with the corresponding prenyl group at the ortho position were obtained selectively. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
