Abstract
Additional follow-up studies on a series of choroidal nevi previously reported showed no transformation to malignant melanoma. This rarity of malignant transformation, coupled with the occasional difficulty of distinguishing clinically between a choroidal nevus and a very early malignant melanoma, and the controversial effectiveness of photocoagulation in the treatment of malignant melanoma, makes necessary the reevaluation of light therapy in the treatment of small malignant melanomas. Keywords
