Abstract
A validating Latin diagnosis is provided for Chlorociboria Seaver, based on C. aeruginosa (Oed. ex Fr.) Seaver (Peziza a. Oed. ex Fr.), and a key separating North American species is given. C. aeruginascens (Nyl.) Kanouse (Peziza a. Nyl.), C. aeruginella (Karst.) Dennis (Helotium a. Karst.), C. rugipes (Peck) Ram. and Korf (Helotium r. Peck), C. versiformis (Pers. ex Pers.) Seaver (Peziza v. Pers. ex Pers., =Craterellus caespitosus Peck n. syn.), and C. bulgarioides (Peziza b. Rab.) are new combinations. Confusion of species of Chlorociboria with those of Chlorosplenium, Midotis, Ionomidotis and Phialea is discussed. Phialea eustrobilina Korf (Peziza strobilina Fr. non Phialea s. (A. and S. ex Fr.) Quel) is a new name. Critical and exsiccati specimens examined and taxonomic notes are listed. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
