Abstract
Exciton splitting in molecular crystals with several molecules in the elementary cell is considered in the Fermi resonance region. General expressions for the energy and the intensity of the bands are obtained at the arbitrary value of intramolecular state mixing. The conclusions drawn are used to analyze C6 H5 I crystal spectra, in crystals of which the weak Fermi resonance takes place. Keywords
